Lee Frawley

Lee grew up on St Thomas where she participated in local riding events and horse shows. She then went to England to continue her education where she became involved in show jumping, working for an Olympic rider after she left school.

A serious accident while riding a young horse left Lee with a badly damaged leg but with help from the Riding for the Disabled Organisation she changed disciplines and began her para equestrian journey in dressage.

Riding Brodie, her RDA horse, she first competed for the US Virgin Islands in 2007 at the World Championships. It was then that she began her pipe dream of competing at the London 2012 Paralympics. Lee was the first athlete to represent the US Virgin Islands at a Paralympic Games. Although now living and training in the UK, her father and brother still live on St Thomas.
